Here is a letter from the Rebbe to R' Shmuel Zalmanov dated 10th Kislev 5704 with additions in the Rebbe's ksav yad kodesh. The letter is printed in Igros Kodesh v.1 p.201, however, if you look carefully some of the ksav yad wasn't copied correctly.

Sorry for the long break in posting, Tishrei completely swamped me and I have found it hard to get back into the swing of things. Bl'n I will start posting more regularly again. I've started with a geshamke yechidus of the Frierdike Rebbe from 5705.

Here is an English michtav kloli from 18th Elul 5710. On the bottom left of the page there is written a code 'RMS:n', the RMS reference is understood, however, if anyone knows what the 'n' refers to please let me know in the comments.

Another Letter from Reb Itche Masmid

Whilst we're on the subject of Reb Itche Masmid here is another letter that just shows you can be a beinoni and be practical and with it at the same time.

A few interesting points in this letter dated Sivan 5696 to Reb Yisroel Jacobson. Reb Itche explains that it is over ten years since you've seen the Rebbe and even then it was only whilst he was in America which doesn't count for anything since "tzu a Rebben darf men fohren" and since you saw him in America "zeh ayno afilu kemo hamoshol shel melech basodeh..."

At the end he reports on a pogrom that occurred in a town close to Otvotzk and the fear of having to uproot is not helping the Frierdike Rebbe's health and he concludes "der velt is grois un yidden hoben kayn mokom nit".

To which body will the soul be returned?

A very interesting letter regarding "Techiyas Hameisim" (Resurrection of the dead) when Moshiach comes.

There are many letters signed by the Rebbe, Rebbetzin N.D. and the Rasha"g, (General letters to all Jews, new year wishes to private people etc.), but this is only letter I've come across that's written in English and signed by all three. A very historic letter.

A letter from the Rebbe in response to Mr. Harris's wishes to the Rebbe for a 'Refua shleima', after Shmini Atzeres, 5738.

א קליינע צעטעל

Here is a 'Tzetel' that the Rebbe wrote with instuctions to his secrateriat.
(It seem that it was written in the early years of Nesius, from the way the Rebbe refers to Rabbi L. Groner).

This letter has not been printed before (as far as i'm aware).

6 Tammuz 5711

This letter is printed in Igros Kodesh v.4 p. 367. The ksav yad is not printed there.

Reb Benche ז"ל

In connection with Hey Tammuz, the Yartzeit of Rabbi Bentzion Shemtov ז"ל, we present the following note written by the Rebbe.

In the 40's, the Rebbe would often translate many of the English letters and telegrams that the Freirdike Rebbe would receive. Here the Rebbe translates a letter written by the secretary of a (Lubavitch) Shul in Manchester, England.

מזכיר ביהכנ"ס במאנשעסטער
ת"ח בשם הנהלת ביהכנ"ס בעד הסידורים שקבלנו מהמל"ח ובבקשה לשלוח עוד.
שמחנו לקבל פני שני אורחים נכבדים בביהנ"ס שלנו הרש"ז גורארי והרב"צ שם טוב.
ובטח גם הם היו שבעים מהקבלת פנים.
ותמיד פתוחה הביהכנ"ס לקראת אורחים כאלו.
פ"ש מהרב שלנו ר"ש ביין הפרעזידענט יפו וכל חברי הועד.

This note was originally printed in a Teshura of a Nachshon family wedding 5758

"Vlomar Borchu"?

"Halocho l'ma'ase"; if one heard "Borochu", then goes on to daven "Kabolas Shabbos" alone, does one say "Velomar Borchu" or not?

In this note added to a “Michtav Klloli” dated Erev Rosh Chodesh Sivan, 5710, the Rebbe answers that our custom is to recite 'velomar'.

"ובמענה על מכ' מכ"ב אייר – הפ"נ יקראו בהיכל כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ שבו נכנסים יחידות ועל הציון.

- מנהגי' לומר ברכו לפני ערבית של ש"ק. ובמילא אומרים ולומר כו' אם מתפללים ביחידות. ואין נוגע אם שמעו ברכו מקודם. וראה זח"ב קלה, ב: ולומר ברכו כו' בגין למיפתח לגבה בברכה כו'.
